I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were cleaner and more well-equipped than I expected, but there was a slight unpleasant smell. The service was friendly and welcoming, although the lack of sleep was a downside after a long drive. The location was convenient for my needs, and the dining experience was good overall. The hotel rooms were all new and very clean, fantastic with a large work desk, a good couch, very comfortable mattress and a nice bathroom, but smelled like smoke. The service was friendly and seemed concerned about really improving the property, asking about my mother's progress. The location was one block from the new student conference at TAMU, genuinely friendly and perfectly accommodating for my needs. The dining experience was better than most other hotel offerings, with a huge variety of complimentary options. The facilities were great with laundry services available.
